Our Debt Recovery Service Consists of Three Phases

Phase One

Within 24 hours of placing an account, the following will happen:

The first of four letters are sent to the debtor via US Mail. Your case will be placed into the workload of one of our on-staff collectors. Our collector will attempt to contact the debtor and produce a resolution to the matter. Expect our collector to place daily phone calls, the first 14 to 21 days, in an attempt to contact the debtor. If all attempts to reach a conclusion to the account fail, we go to Phase Two where we immediately forward the case to one of our affiliated attorneys, located within the debtor’s jurisdiction.

Phase Two

Upon our office sending your case to one of our affiliated attorneys, you can expect the following:

The receiving attorney or one of his staff members will immediately start attempting to contact the debtor via the phone, in addition to the series of letters. If all attempts to reach a conclusion to the account continue to fail, we will send you a letter explaining the issues surrounding the case and what we recommend for the next and final step.

Phase Three

Our recommendation will be one of two things.

If after a thorough investigation of the facts surrounding the case and of the debtors assets, we determine the possibility of recovery is not likely we will recommend closure of the case. You will owe nothing to our firm or our affiliated attorney for these results.

If our recommendation is litigation you will have a decision to make. If you decide not to proceed with legal action we will drop the case and you will owe our firm or our affiliated attorney nothing. If you decide to proceed with legal action, you will be required to pay the upfront legal costs such as court costs, filing fees, etc., these fees vary depending on the debtor’s jurisdiction. Upon payment of these funds, our affiliated attorney will file a lawsuit on your behalf for all monies owed including but not limited to the cost to file this action.

If our attempts to collect via litigation fail, the case will be closed. You will owe nothing to our firm or our affiliated attorney.

Collection Services – Having a Good Strategy to Recover is Important.

Bad debts are nearly impossible to avoid when running almost any business. In fact, the longer a business operates, its exposure to non-paying receivables increases.

There are many reasons why debtors fail to meet their financial obligations; financial hardships often come atop the list. When a debtor fails to pay the total amount before its due date, the amount owed increases as a result of additional interest, late fees and may also result in the debtor discontinuing payments or run away from their financial obligation.

Unfortunately, creditors generally do not have many solutions when their customers refuse to pay their debts. Harassing debtors can expose the company to unnecessary trouble and may also have an adverse effect on the creditor’s credibility. One of the only remaining solutions to successfully recover the loss is to employ the services of a collections agency.

A national collection agency offers a safe, professional way to recover bad debts. These agencies are able to help creditors recoup their losses as well as the capacity to free the debtors of their financial obligation.

The following points highlight why using a collection agency is an excellent method to recoup losses from delinquent accounts:

  • A collection agency will send a notice of settlement to the debtor. This letter professionally demands the debtor pay the total amount owed and when the payment is due. The letter would also outline the creditor’s legal recourse in the event the debtor ignores or fails to pay. Commonly, a first step is a negative impact on the debtor’s credit rating.
  • The collection agent calls the debtor to follow up on payments. He or she will explain that they are there to help the debtor resolve the delinquent account and also offer several options, including monthly installments, to settle the debt.
  • A collection agency will, at times, perform a house or office visit to a debtor who does not respond to mailed letters or phone calls. Indeed, the agency seeks to maintain positive working relationships with their clients, as they are well trained in dealing with such matters in a professional manner.
  • The agency utilizes “skip-tracing” on customers that are not reachable or have moved from their previous address. The debtor can be located through a variety of methods, including: a phone directory search, inquiring with neighbors or relatives and even calling previous employers in order to reveal the best way to contact a debtor. Moreover, social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter have increasingly become useful tools to locate debtors.
  • A Collection agency maintains full confidentiality. That is, the case is not discussed with anyone other than the debtor and their record will remain confidential.

Collection Services – Collecting Your Money Through Outsourcing

For every business owner there comes a time when it becomes a necessity to collect outstanding funds. For example, a retailer might offer their inventory to customers on an invoice or a credit basis, only to find that their customers are not paying their invoices or credit bills. When this inevitably takes place, the business in turn loses revenue.

Another business entity might send billings for services rendered. If the recipients of a particular service do not pay the bill, the service provider not only loses money, but the time and resources that were allocated towards said services. However a customer bills its clientele is of no consequence; the fact is simply that if an enterprise is not collecting money that it is owed, the business quite literally cannot survive.

Alternatively, many business owners have been able to financially break even and sometimes become profitable again by taking steps to collect outstanding invoices and bills. However, the average business owner does not have the time or the manpower to collect outstanding funds. Moreover, with the advent of new legislation regarding fair collection practices, it has become important for a business owner to practice extreme caution when collecting outstanding funds, as it is essential that this be done in a legal and ethical manner.

This is precisely why any business owner should take advantage of utilizing a collection agency to recover outstanding funds. Debt collection agencies work on behalf of their business clients to recoup the maximum amount of funds owed to them. Debt collection agencies not only have the manpower to make continuous efforts to collect outstanding money during all appropriate business hours, but also the expertise to handle debt recovery in a professional manner that remains in compliance with all debt collection legislation.

The typical business owner already has a plethora of issues to contend with while they are expanding and maintaining their business venture. Most often, they simply do not have the time or the resources to collect their outstanding funds, despite the fact that many businesses understand that outstanding funds can financially break a business. Certainly, if more money is being spent than being generated, a business will ultimately fail.

In this light, then, the choice becomes quite clear: In order to sustain the future of a profitable business, it is of the utmost necessity for the business owner to hire a third party to professionally and legally collect outstanding business funds. A debt collection agency is not only an intuitive choice, but also an extremely effective third party who can help a business preserve a financially solid foundation and future.

Seven things Businesses should consider when choosing a Debt Collection Agency.

Most companies run into delinquent customers. When this occurs there are usually two ways a company can approach this type of situation: Either employing the use of In-house debt collection or to hire a third party debt collection agency.

In the event you use an outside collection agency there are seven things you should consider when choosing a debt collection agency.

1. Commission rate. Since most debt collection agencies work on commission, it is essential that you understand how much it will cost when they recover your money.

2. Who do they report to? Ensure that the collection agency reports to all the major credit agencies.

3. Can the agency seize the debtor’s assets? Legally a debt collection agency can ONLY seize a debtor’s assets, bank accounts or paycheck if there was a successful lawsuit with a judgment awarded.

4. Does the collection agency offer litigation services? This is an important option when dealing with debtors who refuse to pay.

5. Online reporting. In today’s environment the agency you choose should offer online reporting.

6. Where is the collection agency able to operate? The collection firm you choose should be able to operate on an international level.

7. How do you get paid from the debt collection agency? Ensure you fully understand the remittance cycle of your agency and that they honor the stated cycle.

Therefore, if you have delinquent customers and are considering hiring a debt collection service, understanding what services they offer is extremely important. You can greatly benefit by using a collection agency as it will save you time and will help you resolve outstanding debts with your delinquent customers in a professional and legal manner.

Important details to consider about online debt collection services

Debt recovery can often prove to be a formidable task. The simple thought of repeated calls and waiting for debtors to decide on the course of action is enough to seriously consider outsourcing the entire process. Companies are already outsourcing this function in order to keep their accounts receivables to a minimum, as these are vital to their revenue stream. At the very least, many companies are doing so to forego the headaches that inevitably occur with debt collection.

A down side to traditional debt collection is the extremely high rates that debt collectors often charge. Some will levy up to 50% of the debt, which may in turn deter companies from attempting to recover a particular debt at all. We have seen the proliferation of online companies that provide this valuable service. Despite their goal of collecting your outstanding debt remaining the same, the charges or rates are considerably different. It is prudent to understand what to consider when using these online debt collection services.

First of all, keep in mind that third party intervention itself leaves you at a massive advantage, as up to 82% of debtors promptly pay the outstanding amounts within 30 days in order to protect their credit ratings. There are some online companies that also make an effort to re-establish good credit relations with your previous debtors. This is can be invaluable when the debtor’s services are difficult or expensive to replace. Sometimes debtors simply run into a stroke of bad luck and third party intervention is just what the doctor ordered for good business.

Let us now turn to some important points to consider when pondering a decision to employ the use of an online debt collection agency:

First, and perhaps most importantly, note the rates the company charges. Most online company’s rates, like InvoiceGuard.com, are approximately $100/month. Ensure that you understand what services this rate entitles you to.

Furthermore, make sure that the debt collector is aware and in compliance with all legal aspects of the desired result. National debt collection agencies are well suited to accomplish their stated tasks. It is important to know the methodology the company will utilize. Will it be put writing? Are there any hidden costs or commissions? If you are having trouble ascertaining these types of questions, do not hesitate to ask them outright and even have the policies given to you in writing.

One of the most attractive aspects of hiring an online debt collection agency is that if they do not collect, they do not get paid. Some companies require a flat monthly fee and in return you can file as many as 40 to 48 cases per year. If your company finds that it frequently requires the services of a debt collector, one may easily quantify the company’s yearly savings.

What to Look For When Finding a Collection Agency

If you are searching for a collection agency, it will be much easier if you follow a few simple principles. You may find that some collection agencies work on a contingency basis. This is generally the best option for small businesses or individuals who have relatively few cases. Hiring one of the many collection services that are available will most certainly benefit you over the life of your business. It will save you a great deal of time and effort, and is therefore undoubtedly something one should consider taking advantage of.

Naturally, a business owner is more focused on running the business than on debt recovery. By hiring a debt collection agency you will be able to increase revenue from accounts that may have been written off. It is essential that all of the collectors in the company you decide to hire are fully trained to deal with your particular set of costumers, because in affect, they will be representing you. A single conversation gone wrong can have long-term, negative repercussions.

If clients frequently generate problems to evade payment, you may want to consider employing a collection service. Collection agencies, more than anything, need to be beneficial for you and your business. If you begin to realize that you cannot depend on the agency, then there is no rhyme or reason to continue doing business with them. It is prudent to uncover as much information on a collection agency as possible. The process is quite simple and does not take very much time, even if you are not exactly sure what you are looking for. Rest assured there are debt recovery agencies that you can depend on.

Commercial Debt & Accounts Receivables Collection

Most businesses start off small and grow over time. As a business grows, so too does the size of its clientele base. As that base grows, accounts receivables begin to grow accordingly. A fundamental fact of doing business is that your clients and others are going to start owing you money. How you handle this eventuality as an owner has a significant impact on the effect of outstanding debts you are owed. Initially, many businesses attempt to recover debt through their own devices. This can quickly become frustrating and the cost of collecting the debt begins to exceed the amount recovered. There inevitably comes a time when the business owner becomes weary of the losses as well as chasing debtors, especially when one considers the quantity of debts recovered in the end. At this crossroads, business owners often choose to outsource this task and take advantage of the services a professional debt collection agency provides.

The drawback with many collection agencies is that they often recognize the desperate position the owner has found themselves in. They realize that, in the eyes of the business owner, each debt owed is seen as a loss and subsequently, any amount recovered is considered worthwhile. This may result in a collection agency levying an increased percentage of fees on the debts they collect, sometimes exceeding 70% for their debt recovery services. In the past, this was the status-quo, but not anymore.

With Accounts Receivable USA you pay a rate of only 30% for collection services, rather than some inflated percentage dictated by other greedy agencies. Once your debtors have been placed with Accounts Receivable USA a three-phase process begins. This often returns great results; however, if the debt is uncollected at the end of this cycle and you decide against litigation, then you owe absolutely nothing. It is that simple! Accounts Receivable USA has used this proven system since its inception, and has the utmost confidence that it will work for you just as it has for all of its other clients.

The time has come to stop burdening yourself with your debtors and let the experts take over! Accounts Receivable USA has proven methods that will not only collect the debts owed, but also put a majority of the money recovered back in your pocket! Do not let your clients get the best of you, not when Accounts Receivable USA is here to help. You have provided a service or product to your customers and you should not have to sacrifice huge amounts of time and money to receive funds that are owed to you in the first place.

If you are tired of financially irresponsible clients taking advantage of you and your business then it is time to find a professional collections agency to do all of the leg work for you. It is time for Accounts Receivable USA.

The benefits of fixed fee debt collections

There are three main benefits when using Fixed Fee debt collectors. The first benefit is the simple fee structure. The simple fee structure of a collection agency is when a company receives a percentage of the balance on the account. For most companies these percentages are very straight-forward and are based on the amount of money in the account. In some of the older business accounts, there may be a higher percentage that is charged on the account. By using a simple collection agency fee structure, the amount charged is determined by the fixed rate, set forth by the collection agency, without any exceptions. The creditor does not have to worry about being charged a variable rate every month.

Another benefit consists of a low flat rate collection fee. When this fee is levied, a company is only charged approximately 25% of the amount owed, rather than the higher rates that some older collection agencies may charge. The average fee that a company is charged tends to exceed 25% to upwards of 50%. The low flat collection fee can be applied to every account. They are usually very reasonable, no matter what type of company you have.

A final benefit pertains to specific debt collection services. A specific debt collection service is when the company knows exactly what services they will receive before the services are rendered, in that you will know if the company has sent out demand letters or had made debt collection calls. However, more frequently, the collection agency will charge you an extra $10.00 to $15.00 for sending out a letter. If additional services become necessary, the company may have to pay additional fees accordingly.

This type of structure affords the creditor much flexibility in that they are able to plan and customize all of the services in order to best fit their needs. The type of collection agency one decides to use is greatly dependent on the particular set of circumstances. For example, how bad past due accounts are, in terms of amount and length of delinquency. A particular company’s business practices are also a major factor in dictating what type of collection agency one decides to employ.

These are just a few of the benefits of using fixed fee debt collection agencies. Regardless of which type of collection agency a business goes with, the fact that you will be saving money over the long run remains certain.

A Consumer To Consumer View On Why To Use Services of An International Debt Collection System

Whenever private entities and firms engage in business, trade or other commercial undertakings, it is possible that credit may be offered between the trading parties. While financial credit institutions are useful and are usually respected by most companies, others may sometimes be unwilling or unable to repay the debt.

This is precisely the area in which a collection agency thrives. When a debt is international in nature, it becomes essential to seek the services of an international collection agency, which has many advantages when it comes to debt recovery and management.

The debt recovery process is certainly legal and can often be complex. When an individual, small business or consumer tries to recover a debt unilaterally, they tend to make little to no progress. Companies unwilling or unable to pay their debts attempt to hide behind technical and legal jargon, issue false promises and give appointments for future dates, only serving to kick the proverbial can down the road.

The cost to a small business can be daunting because the legal recourse of debt recovery requires the use of attorneys, investigators, industry knowledge and many other techniques that a regular consumer or small business are simply not equipped to deal with.

When debt recovery is left to the professionals, that is, a collection agency, the process becomes streamlined and much more manageable. International collection agencies are better suited to the recovery of debts owed by overseas businesses and organizations. An international collection agency will usually have a presence abroad where the company in question conducts business. These collection agencies have the legal prowess as well as an in-depth knowledge of how to best deal with debt recovery.

A collection agency is undoubtedly best-suited to recover debts held by other companies. As an industry, they have formulated the best practices and procedures to help them manage debt and recover at a high rate of success with a minimal cost to the consumer. The cost remains low because the collection agency will only charge a percentage of the debt they actually recover. Furthermore, collection agencies can keep the fee low because, as professionals in the industry, they are able to both successfully and efficiently undertake the debt recovery process.

The benefits of having a collection agency handle your debt collection include a more timely recovery of the debt, lower costs and removing the burden of debt recovery process so the business may focus on its core operations. Finally, the peace of mind knowing that your debt management concerns are being handled professionally is certainly priceless.

Debt Collection Services – Important Steps You Must Take Before Hiring A Professional Agency

Prior to hiring a professional debt collector, there are a few key tips every business should keep in mind. A debt collector must always be an agency that is highly skilled and trained in this area. Any business should seek to hire a collection agency that can help the business retain its customers, rather than lose them over bad debt. However, without a skilled debt collector, any business runs the risk of losing its most loyal customers.

First and foremost, it is important to research the agency thoroughly and ensure it has a diplomatic method of dealing with customers. One does not want to hire a debt collection agency that has a reputation for intimidating your customers. Rather, a business should seek to hire a collection agency that will treat customers with determination, firmness, but also some compassion as well. With this type of attitude, customers will be more likely to maintain a working relationship with a company and will be more likely to repay their debts in the future.

Secondly, a business should consider the contingency fees that a collection agency charges for its services. Many agencies charge a fee based on the number of debts they are able to recover for a business. It is extremely important to make sure the contingency fees are reasonable and not excessive. A standard rate to consider is approximately 20% to 30% of the debt recovered. Rates that exceed these begin to be excessive. However, it is prudent to remember that a business should not hire a collection agency based simply on the lowest rate offered. This may very well be a reflection of the debt recovery agency, and can be warning signs that the company is poorly organized or even facing bankruptcy.

Finally, it is very important to make sure that a debt collector is legally licensed to practice in the state in which your business is located. If a debt collector is not licensed, a business risks exposing itself to illegal debt collection practices. If a customer reported the debt agency for poor behavior, then a business that hired this collector could find themselves in legal trouble and subsequently sued. It is very important for a business to perform its due diligence before hiring any agency or collector to work on its behalf.

Keep these several tips in mind when you are deciding on which collection agency best suits your debt recovery needs.

Identifing The Need For Using Commercial Collection Agency

Whether one owns a small business or even a law firm, there is an essential need for collection services. Any business should be able to rightfully recover what it is owed to them for its products or services rendered. Collection agencies are an indispensible tool to help businesses recover the revenue they deserve.

Any business should regularly take time to evaluate its financial situation every month. By doing so, a business may notice that certain accounts are past-due and customers have not been meeting their financial obligations. When a business totals these figures, it can often be astonishing to realize how much money is owed. Many businesses underestimate the effect that past-due accounts have on the profitability of their enterprise. The fact is, past-due accounts can cost a business a significant portion of their total annual revenue.

The need for a debt collection agency is unquestionably applicable to a wide variety of cases, but especially so in cases of business owners and entrepreneurs. A business should consider hiring a professional collection agency when accounts become at least 60 days overdue. A debt collector will be able to contact these overdue accounts and will work to recover the funds owed. In addition, a commercial collection agency will usually begin to track accounts after a business employs its services. This way, a business will never have to worry about devoting time to tracking accounts. Rather, a collection agency will take this obligation over and keep careful track of all accounts that the business has. When a collection agency notices certain accounts are past due, it will simply contact the owners of those accounts and recover the debts.

A business will find that its operations are exponentially less stressful after hiring a commercial collection agency. Once this type of agency is hired, a business will be able to focus on increasing its revenue and maintaining good relationships with its clients, not to mention its day to day operations, rather than burdening itself with debt recovery. Perhaps not surprisingly, this can have a positive impact on morale which, as we all know, increases the efficiency and thereby the profitability of any business. The question then becomes: Why wouldn’t you outsource your business’s debt recovery to a professionally trained collection agency?
